| So I don't post on here too much, but over the past 2 years this forum has helped me in purchasing and rebuilding my first Z! Bought the car in January of 2010 in complete CRAP condition. Bought it under the assumption that all it had was a blown head gasket. I started to take it apart as soon as I got it home; noticing how many parts were missing, not to mention how chopped and spliced the chassis harness was. Rebuilt the whole engine myself (bottom end and heads), which would not have been possible without this forum!! Machining and measurements were done at a machine shop close to my house. Long story short: Buying the car with no previous knowledge about Z's. Having mechanical skills as far as oil changes, brake changes, and a clutch change. This has been one hell of a learning experience! There were definitely times I wanted to give up (I even posted it on craigslist at one point) but the time, money, blood, sweat and energy spent on building this car has been WELL worth it!! I was trying to start it for probably 10 min before I finally bled the fuel system of all the air. Turned it off pretty quick because of the new rings, I had to go back to shcool so I didnt have time to set timing or break in the motor properly. sorry for the terrible video.. It was taken from my iphone.
